3) Main Rules
- Classify by mix (e.g., CM 1:4, 1:5), thickness (12/15/20 mm), location (internal/external/ceiling).
- Scaffolding generally separate (per contract practice).
- Bands, drip moulds, grooves measured separately if specified.
4) Deductions
- Openings >0.5 m² → deduct full area.
- No deduction for:
- Ends of beams/rails ≤0.5 m².
- Jambs, sills, soffits of openings ≤0.5 m² (measured separately if to be plastered).
5) Special Notes
- Double coat stated with breakdown (undercoat/finish).
- Waterproofing compound measured by weight/litre separately if required.
6) Example
Internal plaster CM 1:6, 12 mm on walls: gross 420 m². Doors/windows 30 nos @ 1.2×2.1 = 75.6 m² → deduct (since >0.5 m² each). Net = 344.4 m². Jambs/soffits measured separately (say 2×(1.2+2.1)×0.1×30).
