- Classify by timber species/grade, section sizes, finish (painted/polished).
- Frames in m³ (section × perimeter length); shutters in m² (clear opening size).
- Fittings (hinges/locks) included or separate as per BOQ.
4) Deductions
- Openings are inherent; measure by specified rule (clear size).
- Small cutouts for hardware ignored.
5) Special Notes
- Preservative treatment separate if specified.
- Glazing/wire mesh measured separately if not included.
6) Example
Door frame 100×75 mm, opening 1.0×2.1 m → perimeter 2(1+2.1)=6.2 m; volume = 0.1×0.075×6.2= 0.0465 m³. Shutter 35 mm flush: 2.10 m².
